Crown Safety LLC is a consultancy specializing in occupational health, safety, and ergonomics.  Linda Tapp, ALCM, CSP, a recognized industry leader, founded Crown Safety in 1999 to help firms establish and maintain an environment that is free from potential safety hazards, that enhances productivity, and which ensures OSHA compliance.  It is Crown Safety’s mission to offer products, services, and programs that are not only technically correct, but that work in conjunction with normal facility operations.

Leadership

Crown Safety is led by its founding principal, Linda Tapp, a Certified Safety Professional with more than 16 years of hands-on experience in occupational health, safety, and ergonomics.  Linda is a recognized thought leader in her field, a frequent author and contributor to trade publications, and a seasoned trainer.  She is a frequently invited keynote speaker at local and national safety conferences and is a dynamic and authoritative presenter on many subjects including the safety of women at work; effective safety training techniques; ergonomic job measurement systems; business growth for safety consultants; and OSHA compliance.

Prior to founding Crown Safety, Linda served as safety and ergonomics supervisor for Wyeth-Ayerst ESI Lederle in Cherry Hill, NJ; as senior consultant for STATS Environmental Consultants in St. Albans, England; and senior loss control representative for Fidelty Environment Insurance Company in Princeton, NJ. 

Linda’s education and certifications include a BS in biological sciences from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA; an MS in environmental health from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA; a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation in comprehensive practice and ergonomics; and an Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM) diploma and designation. 

Since the beginning of this year, Linda has won two awards - The Girl Scouts of Camden County Women of Achievement Award for her service to the community and Drexel University's Panhellenic Association's Greek Women of Leadership Award. In 2004, The Philadelphia Business Journal honored Linda with its “40 Under 40” award for her professional, personal, and civic achievements.  In 2003, Linda was named “Region 8 Safety Professional of the Year” by the American Society of Safety Engineers.
